So I love this concept of micro-adventures because it allows you, in a very specific way, to take that attitude to travel home, to say, Yeah, I could go to the movies or the mall, or hang out with my friends, or stare at my computer this weekend, but no, Im gonna go on this walk. Watson, perhaps surprisingly to the new Sherlockian, is pretty quickly revealed as the more likable fellow. I mean, you have people who love the nature writing. No, he invented He was As a young guy, he had these amazing adventures. Not necessarily as a vacation or a consumer act, but as a part of your real life. View all . And hed put a weight, usually, I think a rock, so that you can tell when you are plumbing the depth by putting the rope with a rock, you can tell lowering it down when it hits the bottom. This story has as memorable a start as youll find in the canon: a young lawyer, John McFarlane, comes into Holmes office knowing full well hes going to be arrested and charged with murder.
